Recent “Thistle Thursdays”

22nd March, Thistle King James Hotel, Edinburgh

3rd May, Glasgow Thistle Hotel

Our premiere ‘TT’ in Edinburgh/Glasgow – but definitely not the last!

Very successful evenings representing various businesses from Entertainers to Venues, AV to PR, Caterers to Cars, we even had live music in Glasgow with two very different acts.  Networking was relaxed and flowed well (like the wine and beer for some!).  Entertainment value was, as always at our “Thistle Thursdays”, interactive, unexpected, unplanned, but never seems to fail to create those stomach aching laughs!  To all our Edinburgh and Glasgow guests – thank you – they were hugely enjoyable and memorable evenings concluding at 10 pm with stories to tell forever!thistle thursday edinburgh 2

A huge thank you to both Thistle Hotels and the staff who did themselves proud, especially for the personal service, but also the food and venue as a whole.

“Thistle Thursdays” – combining smart networking with the personal touch.

Thistle thursday

“Thistle Thursdays” returning to Inverness!

10th May 2012 from 5-7 pm (and beyond!)
Thistle  Hotel Inverness, Millburn Road, IV23TR

These are relaxed, informal evenings with clients, potential clients and business associates, where we can all enjoy a complimentary drink and some nibbles. There may even be a small pot of entertainment and is an ideal time to make some new connections along with obviously meeting a few “old” associates.

As these are regular evenings, having had our first one in Inverness at new year, we are now delighted to have had our premier in Edinburgh and Glasgow.  Do let us know if there is something you would like to display or entertain us with. Aberdeen “Thistle Thursdays” have seen various clients from Neale Cooper, x-footballer/manager doing an xmas “spot the ball” to wine tasting to a gorgeous display of “nappy cakes”!

We would be delighted if you could join us, so please reply via our CONTACT US page and quote “THISTLE THURSDAY”.

Next Thistle Thursday on May 10th will be at the Inverness Thistle Hotel, Millburn Road, IV2 3TR – Don’t miss the chance to visit in…..

June Ross and Transit Minister

“Don’t You Forget About Me” – DYFAM

Support Group for Victims of Road Traffic Incidents

Keith Brown, Transport Minister and June Ross, DYFAM founder, back new Road Safety Scotland Campaign in Edinburgh

It was a brave decision, indeed, for June Ross to step forward to back a new safety campaign to reduce deaths on Scotand’s country roads. Her eldest son Ian (22) died as a passenger on an Aberdeenshire road less than 2 years ago.

Road safety chiefs have copied innovative “thought graphics” used in the BBC’s SHERLOCK series for a new campaign to cut deaths on Scottish rural roads.  The tv and cinema campaign, warns drivers against complacency and of the need to anticipate unexpected hazards?  Rural roads account for three in four deaths – or some 190 a year – with the campaign focussed on men under 45, who account for three-quarters of those.

Keith Brown said “You don’t have to be speeding to be going too fast” while Michael McDonald, Director of Road Safety Scotland said “Such initiatives help prevent more deaths by educating drivers”

The heartbreak endured by June Ross and other relatives illustrates the tragic reality behind the statistics.  She said, “We need to keep reinforcing to all drivers that it could happen to them!”
